A Checklist to Creating the Ultimate SEO Campaign in 208

Creating the ultimate SEO campaign really isn’t that hard– you just need the right checklist and the right direction.

Find your target audience

This is by far the most important aspect of SEO. Your business provides products or services that fulfill a need. Certain people have those needs. Others don’t. SEO newbies too often overlook the quality of their visitors in favor of the quantity of their visitors.

Sure, it seems like gaining thousands of monthly visitors to your website through SEO is effective. But when only a tiny percent of those thousands of people don’t have any interest in becoming customers, you’re pretty much wasting your time and money. Your site visitors need to convert to sales for you to be profitable.

One should be using SEO to gain authentic visitors that have an interest in what you’re selling. To do this, you must find your target audience. A target audience is a group of people who would be more likely to purchase your products or engage with your brand.

There are many factors to consider when drawing up your target audience:

There are even more details to consider when it comes to your brand’s niche. It’s important to be somewhat broad when considering who would want your product, but not so broad that you toss out your net and pull in a bunch of bad fish.

Finding your target audience can be an easy, although tedious, task to take on. You’ll need to conduct market research and toss out surveys for a while to figure out what demographic wants what you’re selling.

A great exercise to try when determining your target audience is to imaging your perfect customer standing in-front of you. Write down and describe what that person looks like. How do they spend their time, what do they do. Give them a name, a history. Once you are done you can plan your SEO campaign around targeting that person.

Organize your purchase stages

Optimizing your business’ buying cycle is an important part of SEO.

Figure out if your customers are just learning about an issue that needs solving or if they are people ready and willing to make a purchase right now. Update your website and content accordingly to capture your audience. Creating landing pages and sales funnels to move them along in their purchase stage.

Generate those keywords

Long-tail keyword phrases are the words your potential customers type into Google when they want to solve a problem with your product.

You’ll need to do a heavy amount of research for this portion of the checklist and using a phrase researching tool can be hugely beneficial. You can target long tail keywords by creating blog posts with those keywords as topics.

Learn from your audience

Track trending hashtags and topics that your specific target audience looks into. How do they interact with your competitors? How can you gain their attention? This will help you add a wow factor to your social media campaigns.

Make sure your website and social accounts are sparkling

If you have a website that’s behind the times or hard to navigate, successful SEO can’t help you.

Make sure your landing pages are there. Build, and layout your site so that navigation is clear and simple. Make sure your content is ample, well-written, and easy to read. If you need help with this, or just don’t know where to start. Let us know we would be happy to help you look it over.
